WTES 1 – 2026: Internationalization of Higher Education: Public Policies in Latin America

The Autonomous University of Chiapas, through its General Coordination of Interinstitutional Relations, is pleased to invite academics, researchers, policymakers, and higher education professionals to attend the first webinar of 2026 in the Webinars on Trends in Higher Education (WTES) series, to be held on 28 January 2026.

This webinar, titled “Internationalization of Higher Education: Public Policies in Latin America,” will focus on the presentation and discussion of key findings from the study Internationalization of Higher Education: Public Policies in Latin America, published in the ANUIES Documents series.

The webinar aims to present and analyze the results of this study, with particular emphasis on the cases of Argentina, Ecuador, Panama, and Uruguay, in order to foster a deeper understanding of their implications for the design, implementation, and strengthening of higher education internationalization policies across the region.

Participants are invited to engage in a timely discussion on current trends, challenges, and policy approaches shaping the internationalization of higher education in Latin America. (The conferences will be conducted in Spanish)
