UNIMED - Start Cup Competition

The call for the 7th edition of the Start Cup Competition is still open!

The Start Cup Competition – “Entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean” is a contest of entrepreneurial ideas developed by university students from both shores of the Mediterranean basin. Now in its 7th edition, it brings together teams from universities across the region, members of UNIMED network and AUF Moyen Orient, to present innovative ideas in the field of entrepreneurship.

The 7th edition of the competition is jointly organised by UNIMED and the Lebanese University, coordinator of the UNIMED SubNetwork on Employability, together with the Centre MINE (Center for Careers, Innovation and Entrepreneurship) at the Lebanese University, the European Training Foundation (ETF), the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie – Moyen Orient (AUF), and the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari – CIHEAM Bari.

This year’s event will be hosted by the European Training Foundation at its premises in Turin, Italy, on 23–24 November 2026.

The announcement of the competition with all the eligibility criteria to apply is available here.

The deadline to express interest in participating is June 30th. Therefore, each interested university must write to UNIMED and the Start Cup Secretariat at unimed@uni-med.net, copying start.cup@ul.edu.lb.
