University of Costa Rica (UCR) to host the PLEA 2026 International Conference

With this event, Costa Rica becomes the first Central American country to host this global meeting under the leadership of the IAU Member University of Costa Rica (UCR).

The PLEA 2026 Conference explores how traditional knowledge and local wisdom can shape sustainable architectural practices. By integrating ecological responsibility, bioclimatic design, and scientific research, we aim to foster resilient and regenerative built environments.
