UNINETTUNO University launches the first Italian hub dedicated to education in the aeronautical industry

With the inauguration of the UNINETTUNO hub in Bergamo, held on the 09th of april in collaboration with AEA – Aircraft Engineering Academy, a new training center for the aeronautical sector has officially opened.

Located near Orio al Serio Airport—one of Italy’s main aviation hubs—the center offers students a unique blended pathway: hands-on training in Bergamo with AEA, combined with UNINETTUNO’s online learning model. A period on campus for the acquisition of the technical skills and competences and online modules on the UNINETTUNO platform. This integrated approach allows students to gain the international license required to work as certified aircraft maintenance technicians.

At the end of the program, students will be qualified as aeronautical maintenance technicians and will also have the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering path in Aeronautical Maintenance and Advanced Technologies.

“This initiative is fully aligned with UNINETTUNO’s core values, which since its foundation have been rooted in the innovation of distance learning processes through new digital technologies. Students who complete this study pathway will acquire the skills needed to enter the workforce immediately and at a highly qualified level in the aviation industry—one of the leading industrial and economic sectors globally,” is the declaration of Prof. Maria Amata Garito, Rector of the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, after the opening of the UNINETTUNO hub.
