IHE Winter Issue #125 now avalaible!
In the IHE Winter Issue (#125), authors examine how higher education systems are being reshaped as pressures on diversity, equity, and inclusion collide with tighter immigration regimes, growing reliance on international scientists, demographic decline, institutional closures, and armed conflict.
The issue traces how debates over DEI and academic freedom are being reframed in the United Kingdom, Japan, and Chile; how artificial intelligence is reshaping labor markets by affecting highly educated workers; and how global talent flows are shifting through China’s move toward quality-oriented internationalization and rising brain drain risks in the United States.
It also examines new approaches to internationalization in Brazil and Southeast Asia, the interaction of public policy and markets in India, pressures on transnational education in Italy, and reform challenges in Albania, alongside higher education under extreme strain across African universities and in wartime Sudan.
