IAU President Joins Global Dialogue at UA Solutions Summit 2025

IAU President Professor Andrew Deeks took part in the Universities Australia Solutions Summit 2025, joining higher education leaders from around the world to discuss how universities are navigating an increasingly complex global landscape.

This year’s Summit brought together over 1,000 participants—including leaders from academia, government, and industry—for bold conversations around the future of higher education. The focus was on developing practical solutions to national and global challenges, from ensuring competitiveness to strengthening public trust in the sector.

Representing the International Association of Universities (IAU) and its global membership, Prof. Deeks highlighted the importance of international collaboration in shaping inclusive, forward-looking higher education systems that can meet the needs of both societies and students worldwide.
