HEIAS at Toyo University, Japan

Following the successful launch of the Higher Education Internationalization Advisory Services programme (HEIAS) at the IAU 2024 International Conference in Tokyo, Japan at Sophia University, the IAU is pleased to announce that Toyo University will be the first higher education institution to participate in the HEIAS programme. We are also pleased to announce that Eva Egron-Polak, IAU Senior Fellow and former Secretary General, will take the role of Expert Panel Chair.

Toyo University initiated its efforts toward internationalization by accomplishing an ISAS 2.0 programme in 2017. After almost 8 years, they intend to undertake the Achieving Comprehensive Internationalization and Global Engagement HEIAS to evaluate their internationalization progress.

Toyo University is one of the 37 universities in the Top Global University project, which is a 10-year grant for internationalization awarded by The Japan Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. The HEIAS programme at IAU is precisely tailored for institutions as such to help them assess their internationalization progress and achievements.
