Dialogue with the UNESCO Education Programme
IAU Participates in the 2024 International Conference of NGOs at UNESCO
The International Association of Universities (IAU) was pleased to take part in the 2024 International Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations, held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris over the course of three days. The conference convenes representatives from over 400 NGOs working across UNESCO’s areas of competence and serves as a platform to strengthen collaboration between civil society and the organization.
On behalf of the IAU, Secretary General Hilligje van’t Land was invited to speak at the session titled “Dialogue with the UNESCO Education Programme”. The panel focused on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Global Citizenship Education (GCED), highlighting innovative partnerships and collaborative practices in education.
Together with colleagues from UNESCO, Sulitest Impact, and CISV International, the panel explored the vital role of civil society in advancing inclusive and sustainable education.
