Our discussion will examine the benefits of open-access scientific journals, the contributions of major publishers like Elsevier and Springer-Nature in supporting sustainable development, and the use of cutting-edge technologies through Deep-time Digital Earth (DDE) to enhance data-driven research.

During this online event, the aim is to foster dialogue among stakeholders on overcoming barriers to open science and to propose actionable recommendations for enhancing international cooperation and capacity building.
