The British University in Egypt celebrates its President's MBE for services to education

We're pleased to share that Professor Mohamed Loutfi MBE, President and Vice-Chancellor of The British University in Egypt (BUE), has been formally invested with an MBE at Windsor Castle on 9 June 2026, in recognition of his services to education in the United Kingdom and Egypt.

The MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) is a British honour awarded by the Monarch to recognise outstanding contributions to a field or to society. The honour reflects the growing role of UK-Egypt collaboration in higher education and the value of international partnerships between institutions. BUE continues to serve as a bridge between British and Egyptian academic traditions, and we congratulate the University and its community on this recognition.
