MCU Conference 2026 - Registration Open

Registration is now open for the 2026 Anniversary Conference of the Magna Charta Universitatum, taking place from 14–16 October 2026. This year's event will be hosted by IAU member Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) in Vilnius, Lithuania, whose rector, Inga Zaleniene, is an IAU board member.

This year's theme: Beyond Resilience: Universities as Active Value-Driven Agents in a Changing World,

will bring together university leaders, academics and students from across the globe to explore how higher education can strengthen academic values, democratic engagement, institutional autonomy and societal responsibility.

IAU Secretary General, Hilligje van’t Land, will take an active part in the conference. Should you wish to meet with her, she would be pleased to arrange a meeting during the event.
