IAU Members Recognised in the 2026 International Green Gown Awards

IAU Members recognised for leading sustainability initiatives in higher education

The International Association of Universities (IAU) congratulates all winners and highly commended institutions recognised in the 2026 International Green Gown Awards (IGGAs), which celebrate outstanding sustainability initiatives in higher education worldwide. Established in 2014 in the UK and Ireland and supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the awards are delivered by EAUC and with the support of partners including the IAU, ACTS, HESI, IUCA, AIUB, and Siam University.

About the Awards The International Green Gown Awards recognise excellence across eight categories that reflect the many ways higher education institutions contribute to sustainable development. These include climate action, societal engagement, student involvement, biodiversity protection, inclusive sustainability practices, and institution-wide leadership. The awards provide an important platform for sharing innovative approaches and inspiring action across the global higher education community.
