Global Mapping on Higher Education Institutions’ Use of Artificial Intelligence

Within the framework of the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI), the Action Group on the Futures of Higher Education and Artificial Intelligence, co-led by IAU partners UNESCO International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (IESALC) and United Nations University (UNU), is conducting a global mapping to better understand how higher education institutions are using artificial intelligence (AI) across their various functions: teaching and learning, research, administrative management, and community engagement.

To gather institutional experiences and current practices, higher education institutions from around the world are invited to complete abrief survey (approximately 10 minutes).

The survey will remain open until 31 October 2025.

Please note: The survey is intended exclusively for institutional governance and management teams, such as rectors, vice-rectors, deans, directors of innovation, strategy, or digital transformation, or other senior authorities with a comprehensive view of university operations. It is not intended for faculty, students, or researchers.
