IAU Highlights Global Perspectives at Digital Transformation Symposium

The IAU was pleased to take part in the “Digital Transformation Symposium” hosted by Linnaeus University, Sweden. IAU Manager for Digital Transformation Trine Jensen delivered a keynote address exploring the current state of digital transformation within higher education from a global perspective.

Her intervention underlined the importance of monitoring digital transformation in higher education on a global scale, while recognising the need to reflect regional contexts, institutional diversity, and local realities. She shared insights from the ongoing 2nd IAU Global Survey on Digital Transformation, noting how the increasing role of AI, infrastructural barriers, and persistent digital divides are reshaping how higher education is designed, delivered, and experienced around the world.

By contributing to the survey, institutions help build a global evidence base that informs IAU’s advocacy and support for inclusive, responsible, and sustainable digital transformation in higher education.
