Annual Report 2021

The 2020-2021 IAU Annual Report provides a comprehensive overview of the International Association of Universities’ (IAU) activities and initiatives during that period. Under the four pillars of Leadership, Internationalization, Sustainable Development, and Digital Transformation, the report highlights significant accomplishments. These include the launch of the 2nd Global Survey, which assessed the impact of COVID-19 on higher education, and the drafting of a new policy statement on Transforming Higher Education in The Digital World. Additionally, the IAU advanced Agenda 2030 through its global Cluster on Higher Education for Sustainable Development (HESD). Amidst the ongoing pandemic, the IAU adapted, changed, and expanded its global presence, celebrating 70 years as the voice of higher education. The report underscores the quality services and opportunities provided to IAU members, emphasizing collaboration and engagement within the global higher education community.
