Activities and Financial Report 2016-2022

The IAU 16th General Conference in Dublin, Ireland offered an opportunity to report and reflect on the past six years of the Association’s activities and the impact. It also provided an opportunity for the Association to plan for the future.

This report is necessarily brief, providing a synoptic view of the multitude of actions and initiatives undertaken by the Secretariat, under the direction and with support and collaboration of the President, the Executive Committee, the Administrative Board members and various more ad hoc expert groups and task forces. This report complements the IAU regular updates through various communication channels including the Annual Reports and the oral report presented by the Secretary General during the Business Session I of the General Conference.

This report exceptionally covers a period of six years—instead of four—due to the significant disruption caused by the Covid-19 Crisis.
